“THM Learning Experience | Learning from the Real Workplace and Preparing for Professional Practice”

On 14 September 2026, Dr.Songkran Klomsook led fourth-year students from the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program, Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies, Christian University of Thailand, participated in the “THM Learning Experience” study visit and practical training at Mida Grande Hotel Dhavaravati Nakhon Pathom.

The activity was designed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in a real hotel environment while preparing them with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitudes required for their upcoming professional practice in the next semester.

The training focused on “Excellent Service” through a series of practical workshops covering three key hotel departments: Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping, and Front Office. Through these workshops, students had the opportunity to learn about actual hotel operations, service procedures, professional standards, and the responsibilities of staff in each department.

The experience also enabled students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world practice. They developed a better understanding of the importance of service standards, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and creating memorable guest experiences—essential competencies for professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry.

For the fourth-year students, the THM Learning Experience represented an important step toward their transition from the classroom to the professional workplace. The experience was intended to enhance their confidence, adaptability, and readiness to work in a professional organizational environment, while encouraging them to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the program to their future professional practice.
